SafeLynx
What is it?
SafeLynx is an electronic communication appliance designed to connect to your Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) database and transmit limited data to Corona Solutions on-line products Ops Force: Discover and Ops Force: Deploy or for workload studies.
How does it work?
SafeLynx connects to the CAD server via your internal network. Using software developed by us, it will periodically read from the CAD database and export any data changes since the last update. Then, it will compress and encrypt the data before uploading it via the Internet to a server in a secure data center managed by Corona Solutions. Once this is complete, the data will be immediately available in Ops Force.
How is the data protected when crossing the Internet?
SafeLynx uses the industry-standard RSA encryption algorithm from end-to-end while transmitting across the Internet. Additionally, a key trust relationship is pre-created between the SafeLynx appliance and the upload server at Corona Solutions' side. This method avoids the potential of brute-force attacks that can be used against a login/password authentication scenario.
