Corona Solutions was founded in 1995 by father-and-son team Dale and Dan Harris after recognizing the need for software applications to assist law enforcement agencies with their staffing, deployment and scheduling programs. Dale has over 20 years of law enforcement experience including crime analysis, staffing, and budget generation.
Having first-hand knowledge of the complications and consequences of serving in these areas, he always felt there had to be a better way. A better way to get real time reporting for operations analysis, a better way to match staffing resources to activity levels, and a better way to enhance departmental efficiency so resources could be reallocated to where they are truly needed.
Corona Pass in the Rocky Mountains was the inspiration for our name. It is the preferred route for a light plane to cross the Continental Divide in northern Colorado. If the flight is well-planned and well-executed, the limited resource of the small craft can accomplish the task with maximum safety and efficiency, just as good planning and execution of a patrol deployment plan can lead to the best result.
Corona Solutions advocates and provides the tools to help law enforcement agencies adapt to changing conditions. And if you ever have the opportunity to fly or drive over Corona Pass, we hope you will take it!
For the past twenty years, Dan has applied his passion for computers to create new opportunities for law enforcement managers to save valuable time and work more efficiently. Dan maintains a sharp focus on Corona Solutions' mission and has always enjoyed leading a team to deliver high-quality, innovative software and honest service to police professionals.
Prior to joining the Corona Solutions team in 2008, Kimberly worked as a paralegal at one of the country’s most prestigious law firms. She also worked as an auxiliary officer supervisor with the Penn State University Police while earning her Bachelor’s degree in Crime, Law, and Justice. Kim’s natural tact for organization and process management, as well as her criminal justice background, make for a perfect fit with Corona Solutions. She is passionate about operations analysis and earned her Masters Degree in Leadership and Organizations. She truly enjoys working with each of our client agencies, assisting them in making the most of their resources.
Outside of Corona, Kim enjoys spending time in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, hiking, fishing, and exploring.

Dale is also a founding member and past president of the International Association of Crime Analysts, receiving their first Lifetime Achievement Award in 2009. His graduate studies in operations research provided much of the scientific underpinnings of Corona's advanced software functions.
